CHINA Shipping Container Lines' (CSCL) logistics and warehousing facility at Shanghai's Yangshan port area has started construction, Logistics Week reported.
The facility is situated inside the Shanghai Lingang Logistics Park, covering an area of about 13 hectares. Total investments are expected to be CNY180 million (US$26 million).
According to CSCL's press release, the facility will be develop into a multi-functional container and cargo distribution centre and the rear base providing auxiliary services for the carrier's operations at the Shanghai harbour, offering container stacking, maintenance, consolidation, warehousing, processing and other value-added services.
