Throughput of Odessa port up 7.3% to 14.9 million tonnes in Jan-May 08

In January-May, 2008, the port of Odessa (Ukraine) handled 14.946 million tonnes of cargo (+7.3%, year-on-year), RZD-Partner reports. In the reported period, transshipment of dry cargo amounted to 6.882 million tonnes (+0.8%, year-on-year). Transshipment of metal totaled 3.264 million tonnes (+22.9%), dry bulk 1.394 million tonnes (-37.2%). In the 5-month period the port increased transshipment of liquid bulk cargo by 13.6% to 8.124 million tonnes.
