“Pacific Bridge-Building Company” will build bridge across Golden Horn Bay

The department of road economy of the Primorsky Territory summed up the results of the contest on construction of a bridge across the Golden Horn Bay. As the Head of the department of road economy of the Primorsky Territory Leonid VILCHINSKIY reported, a contract with the company will be made in 10 days. Cost of the contract is 17,9bln Rubles, in prices at the moment of putting the object into exploitation, the press-service of the Primorsky Territory Administration reported to RIA PrimaMedia.Besides “PBBC,” the whole group of enterprises will take part in construction of the object, including “Dalmostoctroy” from Khabarovsk, “Primautodor” and some other companies of Primorye.It is planned to start building the bridge in July. December of 2011 was determined as the term of putting the object into exploitation.Leonid VILCHINSKIY emphasized that the bridge across the Golden Horn Bay is unique. Its span will be 737 meters, length of the construction – almost 1900 meters, and its pillar amounts to 220 meters. Construction includes also a tunnel in the city with four traffic lanes. Experience of Primorye, Russian and foreign builders will be used during construction of such a scale object.Let us remind that the Governor of the Primorsky Territory Sergey DARKIN poses the following problem – first of all during construction of the bridge across the Golden Horn Bay, and also the bridge across the strait Bosfor Vostochny Primorye industrial resources should be used. Local enterprises will deliver metal. Besides, the whole following assemblage of constructions will also be held in Primorye. As cable-stayed structures are not produced in Russia, they will be purchased in South Korea, Japan or France.Besides, four-stage control of quality is foreseen: from contracting organization, customer, designer to independent engineering company. “All it will allow to build the bridge qualitatively, according to all technical norms and rules,” the Head of the department of road economy noted.The bridge will become a real symbol of Vladivostok, not only functional, but also a very beautiful construction.
