Hapag-Lloyd, New World Alliance merge Asia-Mexico loops into one

The New World Alliance's (TNWA) PS-2 and Hapag-Lloyd's Asia-Mexico loop have been merged into a single weekly loop that uses six 5,500-TEU vessels operated by APL, which have come from TNWA Winter PRE loop.
This follows the relaunch by TNWA of its transpacific SAX and PS-2 loops, and the split into two loops of the Hapag-Lloyd/APL Asia-Mexico service, including the AME 2/MAX 2, said a report by AXS-Alphaliner News.
This service combination makes APL the only common partner, it said. The port rotation for the newly integrated service is: Xiamen, Hong Kong, Chiwan, Kaohsiung, Los Angeles, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo, Los Angeles, Yokohama and Xiamen.
The report said the port rotation for the two "subjacent services" are as follows, with the PS-2 (TNWA) calling at the ports of: Xiamen, Hong Kong, Chiwan (Shenzhen), Kaohsiung, Los Angeles, Yokohama, Xiamen.
The AME 2/MAX 2 (APL/Hapag-Lloyd) calls at: Xiamen, Hong Kong, Chiwan (Shenzhen), Kaohsiung, Lazaro Cardenas, Manzanillo, Yokohama, Xiamen.
Meanwhile, the AME 1/MAX 1 will be operated with six ships of 4,250 TEU provided by Hapag-Lloyd, it added.
