Hanjin starts calling at Malta Freeport

Malta Freeport welcomed Hanjin Shipping’s 5,618 TEU vessel Hanjin Brussels on its first call as part of the Mediterranean–Asia-America Pendulum Service. Hanjin Shipping will also be incorporating Malta Freeport as part of their MEX service, which will also be calling at the Freeport on a weekly basis. These two services will be connected to the new MAF feeder service due to call at Malta next week. Through these services, Hanjin will not only continue to expand its services to Adriatic Sea ports but will also be hoping to capture the rising trade in the Mediterranean area. The MAP service is operated jointly with K Line, Yang Ming and Cosco. The MEX service is operated jointly with UASC.
The MAP service will be calling at Malta Freeport on a weekly basis on the following port rotation: Malta Freeport – Naples – La Spezia – Barcelona – Suez Canal – Port Kelang – Singapore – Hong Kong – Yantian – Osaka – Tokyo – Long Beach – Oakland – Tokyo – Osaka – Pusan – Shanghai – Ningbo – Kaoshiung – Hong Kong – Singapore – Suez Canal – Port Said and back again to Malta Freeport. The MAF (Malta-Adriatic-Feeder) Service will be calling at the following ports: Malta Freeport – Koper – Venice and back again to Malta Freeport.
