Of the 20 vessels, three are VLCCs, one is a Suezmax, four are existing Aframaxes, four are newbuild Aframaxes and eight are Panamax vessels.
Announcing the contract, Lilley & Gillie’s Managing Director, Glenn Heathcote said:
“We provided OSG with the opportunity to trial a Navmaster system on board its 112,056dwt Aframax tanker Overseas Shirley for a period of six months.
“Feedback from the master of Overseas Shirley was, we know, positive because after the trial unit was removed from his bridge, he made it clear that he wanted a permanent Navmaster system installed as soon as possible.”
In addition to the supply and installation of the Navmaster systems, on-board training is being provided by Lilley & Gillie and the contract incudes a five-year support package.
