This year our members will seek to strengthen longstanding ties and explore prospects of future collaboration in ship building and related maritime industries during a Round Table discussion that will take place on the 23rd of September with the participation of maritime leaders from Russia. CESA will be represented by outstanding commercial and technical staff from leading European shipyards and other maritime companies. The industry leaders are going to exchange views on the state of play of the industry, challenges and prospects arising from the current economic conditions as well as innovative technologies to increase efficiency and to protect the environment. Focused on sustainable use of oceans and seas, the European and Russian shipbuilding partners will seek new methods of addressing these challenges in a new era of shipping and ocean exploration that require products integrating highly sophisticated technologies with outstanding environmental performances. With diverse product portfolios largely specialized in a wide range of market niches European shipbuilders are looking forward to strengthening the cooperation with Russian counterparts. The Round Table will explore how to best establish a permanent Joint Working Group to facilitate wider technical and commercial cooperation with regular exchanges on shipbuilding market and technology developments and related areas.
