Oil export by CPC up 12.7% to 25.8 mln t in Jan-Sep 09
In January-September 2009, the volume of oil exported by Caspian Pipeline Consortium increased by 12.7%, year-on-year, to 25.797 million tonnes. In September, oil shipment increased by 20%, year-on-year, to 2.847 million tonnes, RIA Novosti reports.
CPC owns Tengiz-Novorossiysk pipeline transporting oil from the Tengiz oil field in western Kazakhstan to Russia's Black Sea coast (1,580 kilometers long). In 2008, it transported 31.47 million tonnes of oil. The interests of the CPC Founding Governments are as follows: Russia – 31%, Kazakhstan – 19%.
