200 liters of oil products spill in Posyet port
200 liters of oil products were spilt from the Pavino tanker owned by LLC Pavino, Vladivostok port of origin, during outer anchorage in Posyet Bay (Primorski Krai) when bunkering the Ran Tung vessel (flag of China) at 10.30 p.m, October 1, 2009. An oil patch was enclosed with slick bars by the Pavino tanker efforts and treated with sorbents. There is no threat of oil products spread, informed the State Maritime Service.
A rescue vessel Lazurit (FGUP DV BASY) set off from the Vostok Bay to gather the oil products the same day 11.10 p.m. The oil products were gathered by the efforts of the Posyet port and the Pavino tanker at 01.00 a.m., informed captain of the Posyet port. The rescue Vessel Lazurit was sent back to the place of its permanent dislocation.
The main business of LLC Lazurit is vessels bunkering in the Far East heavy navigation areas of Russia. They work in such ports as Vladivostok, Vostochny, Nakhodka, Slavyanka, Zarubino, Posyet, Khabarovsk river port. Company’s infrastructure capacity on bunkering and transportation of oil products is currently about 300,000 tons annually.
The Posyet Port is open to Russian and foreign vessels. It has a connection with the Trans-Siberian Railway which allows ship cargoes from any point of the country. Depths of the maritime terminals allow accept vessels of 9.5 m dft.
