Topaz Energy and Marine to take into operation 16 vessels by end 2010
Dubai-based (UAE) Topaz Energy and Marine, one of the region's leading marine service companies, will receive 16 more vessels by end 2010 taking their total fleet strength to 100, Fazel Fazelbhoy, company’s Chief Operating Officer informed on the topic.
Many new vessels are being built in different countries such as Norway, Singapore and China. Some are being produced in our own yards. Once received, these vessels will be owned and operated by us to provide support to the offshore platforms of oil and gas companies. Their prices vary depending on the sizes, and other characteristics, Fazel Fazelbhoy told Khaleej Times on the sidelines of the Middle East Workboats exhibition and conference opened on Monday in Dubai.

As per Fazel Fazelbhoy, the company made a net profit of $47 million with a turnover of $419 million in 2008. He pointed out current year results will not greatly differ from the ones achieved during previous year.
