Ilichevski Commercial Seaport to assimilate about $31 million investments 2009
GP Ilichevski Commercial Seaport (ICSP, the Ukraine) will assimilate 25 million hryvnas ($31.25) million capital investments in 2009, Gennadi Skvortsov, Head of Ilichevski CSP, informed journalists. He highlighted, ICSP has assimilated 100,000 hryvnas investment within 9-month period of 2009. As RBC-Ukraine learnt from Skvortsov, amounts were directed on towing hawser and loading equipment procurement and spent on dredging works execution that would enable it accept vessels of over 14 m dft.
Ilichevski Commercial Seaport is one of four largest ports in the Ukraine. The company’s facilities enable it to handle over 30 million tons of cargo per year. In 2008, the port’s throughput increased by 18%, year-on-year, to 18.9 million tons of cargo.
