Tranzas to equip a newbuilding of State Sea Rescue Service with a radio-navigation system

Tranzas Company has signed a contract on delivery of radio-navigation and internal communication equipment for a maritime diving ship with Yaroslavski shipbuilding plant.

Tranzas shall equip the vessel with all the necessary navigation, communication and satellite equipment under the contract.


A fully equipped vessel shall be handed over to the State Sea Rescue Service early next year.

It is necessary to remind, the SDS08-design vessel laid down on August 28, 2009 will be the first one in the range of special-purpose vessels built for FGU State Sea Rescue Service.

The multifunctional 4 MW rescue-and-salvage ship is designed for diving and subsurface engineering works at 6-meter depth. The vessel will also be able to operate in rescue, ship-handling and hydro-technical works. The vessel will have the following characteristics: LOA - 38.35 m, molded length – 36.35 m; breadth molded - about 7.92 m; full speed - 11 knots.

The cost of the vessel is evaluated at RUR 500 million. Period of construction will amount to 14.5 months.
