Oil сargo transhipment volume in Primorsk Oil Terminal up 5% within 9 months, 2009
Oil сargo transhipment volume in Primorsk Oil Terminal (Leningrad region) increased by 5% (up to 58 million 712.4 thousand tons) within 9 months of 2009 as compared to the figures of the corresponding period of the previous year. As PortNews IAA learnt from Primorsk Oil Terminal LLC, the volume of crude oil transhipment in January-September, 2009 amounted to 55.6 million tons which corresponds to the figure of the previous year.
The volume of oil products transhipment through maritime terminal BalttransService amounted to 3 million tons within the reporting period.
Primorsk Oil Terminal LLC is the largest port in its volumes of exported oil and oil products in the North-West of Russia. Cargo turnover of the port amounted to 75 thousand 581.9 tons of oil and diesel fuel in 2008.
Primorsk Oil Terminal LLC is the largest stevedoring company in the North-West of Russian Federation providing stevedoring services Russian oil companies in the course of transferring export crude oil supplied through Baltic piping system.
Marine oil terminal BalttransService is the end point of “Sever” pipeline routed by AK Transnefteproduct OJSC (affiliate of AK Transneft OJSC). It provides export transhipment of diesel fuel of “Euro-4” standard. The terminal was put into operation mid May, 2008. As of the previous year results 1,555,600 tons of diesel fuel were transhipped through the terminal.
