50% price reductions for transit cargo handling come into force in 9 seaports of the Ukraine
The Ukraine introduces 50% price reductions for transit cargo handling in nine seaports from October 16, 2009. As per the Order of Ministry of Transport and Communications ‘On the amount of reductions against terminal lump-sum rate payment for handling operations with transit cargo in the ports of the Ukraine’ the reductions are valid through April 1, 2010.
In particular, it is offered to set 30%-price reduction for grain and seeds bulk cargo, pig-iron and ferrous metals handling, 40% - for sulphur in Ilichevskii Commercial Seaport.
As for Uzhnii commercial port, 30% reduction might be given for pig-iron and ferrous metals handling, 25% - for coal and iron ore.
30% price reduction is offered for pig-iron and ferrous metals handling in the Commercial Seaport of Mariupol and Odessa, 18% - for grain and seeds bulk cargo in the Commercial Seaport of Mariupol
The rates will be changed in commercial seaport of Kerch, Reniisk, Ust-Dunai, Berdyansk, Kherson as well.
