Ukrainian shipbuilding industry shows positive tendencies of restoration and renewal of production capacities and consolidates its position in the industry. As per the information provided by the Ministry of industrial policy of the Ukraine, 12 vessels and water crafts have already been built since beginning 2009. They are estimated at $194 million, which is 68% more as compared to the corresponding period 2008. Besides, there are repairing works carried out at а 76 vessels. Out of 49 orders received by the Ukrainian shipyards 41 of them – from foreign market and only 7 – for local one.
