Evergreen rises rates on Far East/Indian Sub-Continent services
Evergreen Line Announces Rate Restoration on Far East/Indian Sub-Continent to Europe and Med Westbound Trade Evergreen Line has announced it will commence rate restoration on Far East/ Indian Sub-Continent to Europe and Med Westbound Trade, which have experienced stronger than anticipated demand in October and into November. The increase will help restore financial losses and ensure continued quality service to Evergreen Line customers.
Present stronger space demands have come on the heels of reduced capacity announced for the fourth quarter of 2009, resulting in limited space availability.
The increase for the Far East(including Japan)/ Indian Sub-Continent to Europe and Med Westbound Trade will be USD200 per TEU effective November 1. It will apply to all cargoes and commodities, including temperature-controlled and reefer freight.
