Evergreen, CSAV enter slot agreement on Asia-Mediterranean-Black Sea services

Evergreen Line and CSAV Norasia entered a slot-swap arrangement in the Asia-Mediterranean-Black Sea trades, effective in early November.
The agreement covers Evergreen’s Far East-Mediterranean Service (FEM) and CSAV’s Asia-Black Sea Service (ABS).
The existing port coverage of the two services is as follows :
FEM: Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Tanjung Pelepas, Colombo, Ashdod, Alexandria, Taranto, Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia, Taranto, Colombo, Tanjung Pelepas, Kaohsiung, and back to Qingdao.
The FEM deploys nine vessels of 5,300 20-foot equivalent units capacity, offering a 63-day round-trip voyage.
ABS: Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, Chiwan, Port Kelang, Jeddah, Port Said, Piraeus, Istanbul, Constantza, Ilyichevsk, Odessa, Port Said, Port Kelang, and back to Xingang.
The ABS operates with eight vessels of 4,200 TEUs each, offering a 56-day round-trip voyage.
The first westbound sailings under the new arrangement are scheduled for the week of Nov. 8.
