RZD copes with set tasks
From the moment of its creation in 2003, Russian Railways, JSC has been coping with the tasks set by the state to satisfy the growing demand for transportations, announced Vadim Morozov, Senior Vice President of RZD speaking today at the Plenary session of the VII International Conference “Transport Service Market: cooperation and partnership” in Moscow.
He said that at the moment the crisis (in January cargo turnover fell by 30 %) has been overcome.
In September 2009 loading in RZD grew by 11.3 % (including 6 % growth in loading of coal, ores – by 5.1 %, scrap ferrous metals - by 21.7 %, and grain – by 17.1 %).
