Motor-tow-vessel of Pechora river shipping sinks in Amderma port (the Kara Sea)

October 26, 10.00 a.m. a motor-tow-vessel Synya owned by SC Pechora river shipping OJSC sank near Amderma port (the Kara Sea), informed GMSKC of Russian Mintrans with reference to information provided by Deputy General Director of SC Pechora river shipping OJSC

A motor-vessel with three barges R-93 design was being towed by a motor-boat Chudotvorets. All the crew is now on board Chudotvorets. A preliminary reason of sinking is water found in the vessel hull via a porthole damaged by a wave. Synya was on charter of SC Barants-Trans LLC.
