Three-fold net profit increase of the Ukrainian maritime and river transport enterprises, Q I-III 2009

Maritime and river transport enterprises of the Ukraine increased their net profit to 1.8 billion hryvnas ($225 million - 3-fold increase) within 9 months 2009 as compared to the corresponding period of 2008. The aforementioned enterprises profit increased by 50% (9.3 billion hryvnas – about $1.16 billion) within the reporting period, informed the Ministry of Transport Communication of the Ukraine with reference to Mikhail Chubai, Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication, Head of Administration of maritime and river transport.
