Maersk Line adjusts capacity on Europe-ME-India route
Maersk Line is to suspend temporarily its Med-ME-India ME-3 service (3523) in a move aimed at adjusting capacity during the low season. The ME-3 is run with six overpanamax ships of around 5,400 teu. In order to continue to cover essential port-port legs ensured with the ME-3, Maersk Line will add Middle East port calls to Asia-Europe services, including the AE-7, (Salalah added westbound) and the AE-1 eastbound (Jebel Ali added eastbound). Part of the volumes will also be taken by the other loops calling in the Middle East and India sector : AE-6, AE-11 and ME-1 services.
