MSC hikes rates on its services from India to Europe
Mediterranean Shipping Company will seek a rate increase on the westbound trades from India to Europe, as part of a new rate restoration program.
Effective Nov. 7, the planned increase will be $150 per 20-foot equivalent unit.
The rate restoration applies to all cargo moving from India to North Europe, the United Kingdom, East/West Mediterranean and Black Sea ports.
The Geneva-based carrier earlier implemented a similar rate hike on the same route, as of Oct. 12.
In other news, United Arab Shipping will increase rates for shipments from Asia to Red Sea destinations, starting Nov. 1.
The increases will be $150 per 20-foot container and $300 per 40-foot/high cube container.
