SZTU head to decide on his resignation
Mikhail Prokofiev, Head of North-West Customs Administration (SZTU) of the Federal Customs service (FTS) of Russia is on holiday till November 12, 2009, PortNews IAA learnt in SZTU press-service. The issue of the Head’s resignation is not commented upon.
The information is not confirmed but Head of SZTU is considering the possibility of resignation immediately after his holiday.
North-West Customs Administration structure comprises 17 customs. They unite customs post 121 located in the SZTU territory of over 1,600,000 km2, that covers over 11 RF constituent units in its turn.
The area under SZTU responsibility is stretched for3,637 km: including overland territory of 2,375 km, marine - 233 km and inland waters - 224 km.
The territory borders on Finland, Norway, Poland, Republic of Byelorussia, Baltic countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia. Finland boarder is 1,320.8 km long, Latvian – 270.5 km, Estonian – 464.8 km, Norwegian – 219.1 km.
