SUEK and Belon coal export volume via port of Vyborg amounts to 260 ths tons, June-Oct., 2009
Volume of coal export via port of Vyborg (Leningrad region) will amount to 258,000 tons in June-October 2009. As per the statistics provided by the Administration of the Big port of St.-Petersburg, coal shipment ex port of Vyborg started in June, 2009. Volume of exported coal amounted to 205,000 tons in June-September current year. In October railway schedule of coal deliveries into the port envisages shipping of 18,000 tons of baking coal of Belon (MMK) and 35,000 tons of power generating coal of SUEK.
Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) is the largest producer of power generating coal in Russia and one of the main exporters of Russian coal. Volume of coal mined in 2008 amounted to 96.2 mln tons. Volume of international sales in 2008 was 28.2 mln tons.
Belon group comprises mines ‘Listvyazhnaya’, ‘Chertinskaya-Koksovaya’, ‘Chertinskaya-Yuzhnaya’, Kostromovskaya, sections ‘Novobachatskii-1’ and ‘Novobachatskii-2’, COF ‘Belofskaya’, OF ‘Listvyazhnaya’ and a number of other enterprises. 82.6% of shares in the charter capital Onarbay Enterprises (Cyprus), which is in accordance with mass-media controlled by Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant (MMK) and Andrei Dobrov, CEO of Belona in equal parts.
