Norilsk Nickel transship cargoes in Murmansk port at its own
Murmansk transportation branch GMK Norilsk Nickel OJSC plans to handle industrial and food cargoes on its own in case marine terminals of Murmansk Commercial Seaport which stevedoring services Norilsk Nickel deploys are occupied. As PortNews IAA learnt from Norilsk Nickel, an independent handling of cargoes will be carried out on its own marine terminal №1. The branch has its own dockers, mechanical engineers, handling equipment, warehouses fro containers storage.
First cargo with lubricants and foodstuffs will be delivered to Dudinka (where transpolar branch of the company is located) in diesel-vessel Zvyozdochka owned by GMK Norilsk Nickel OJSC. The vessel left Murmansk on October 24, 2009, it will come to Dudinka on November 1, 2009.
