Nerpa nuclear attack submarine joins Russian Navy fleet

Nerpa nuclear attack submarine built at Amur shipyards, raised the flag of Russian Navy this joining the fleet of RN, the Interfax news agency reports.
As a reminder, an accident with the submarine occurred during initial tests of Nerpa on November 8th 2008 causing deaths of 20 of the  crew 208, while others 21 were seriously poisoned by gas. After the tragedy the submarine was sent back to the shipyards of Bolshoi Kamen (Big Stone).
The third generation vessel Nuclear attack submarine Nerpa with the 73 crew members has 8140/12770 tones deadweight with maximum speed - 30 knots, a maximum diving depth - 600 meters, autonomy - 100 days, armed by four 533 mm torpedo tubes and four 650 mm torpedo tubes.
