S-Continental puts off cruise line until July 9

S-Continental Company (part of PMI Holding) has postponed the launch of a cruise ship en route Saint Petersburg - Helsinki - Stockholm - Tallinn - St Petersburg until July 9 due to forecasted unfavorable weather conditions in the Bay of Biscay, RBC reports citing Dmitry Spivak, the company’s  development manager. He said at least 90% of tickets had been sold for the first Baltic cruise ship.

The line was scheduled to start operating on July 2, 2010.

The cruise ship will leave the passenger port "Marine Façade" in St. Petersburg every Friday to arrive at the port on Tuesdays. In addition to the cruises, the company plans entertainment programs for passengers out in neutral waters of the Baltic Sea.
