Kozmino port’s terminal exports first ESPO oil for Japan Mitsui

SpetsMorNeftePort Kozmino LLC, an oil terminal operator in Kozmino of Primorsky Territory, began loading 100,000 tons of East Siberia oil onto the British Swift tanker. The ship transporting the export oil docked today at a berth operated by TransNeft JSC. ESPO oil was purchased by Mitsui Company from a Russian oil company Rosneft, the stevedoring company press service said.

Second shipment of exported oil for Mitsui is due July 10th, the stevedore said. Overall, Mitsui won three tenders for ESPO supply from Rosneft to be delivered in July-August this year. The Japanese Corp. said it would be willing a long-term cooperation buying East Siberia oil.

On December 28, 2009 TransNeft began operating the Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean (ESPO) pipeline, designed to supply oil to the Asia-Pacific region. The ESPO pipeline passes through Taishet (Irkutsk region) - Ust-Kut (Irkutsk region) - Lensky (Yakutia) - Aldan (Yakutia) - Skovorodino (Amur region), to its end point at Kozmino, the specialized sea oil port in Primorsky Territory. Export oil volume is expected to reach 15 million tons this year.
