China's Qinhuangdao port handles 112 mln tonnes of coal in H1 2010

Qinhuangdao, one main coal-transferring port in northern China, handled 112 million tonnes coal in the first half of 2010, surging 13.67 million tonnes or 13.9% from the same period of last year, customs data showed China's coal will be in tighter supply this summer because the consumption rose swiftly as driven by hot weather in the coming months.
To ease the supply pressure, Qinhuangdao Port has taken various measures to support the transports.
