Customs Code of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus is effective from July 6, 2010

Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus have signed a declaration the Customs Code of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus Customs Union comes into force from July 6th on the territories of the three counties, PRIME-TASS reports quoting Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

"A declaration have been signed putting into force the Customs Code, for the three countries it is effective from July 6th, for Russia and Kazakhstan – from  July 1st," Mr. Medvedev said in an interview with journalists after the summit in Astana (Kazakhstan).

He called the formation of the Customs Union "profitable and interesting".

"I am pleased that we agreed on the Statute of the Court of the EuroAsia Economic Cooperation, which suggests that the integration is in its final phase," said Dmitry Medvedev, adding that "from now on the Statute of the EurAsEC will be applied to relations between entities, ie companies registered on the territory of the EurAsEC”.

As reported, the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Saturday that Belarus ratified all the agreements concerning the Customs Union, including the Customs Code. "We have so far ratified all the treaties and agreements concerning the Customs Union, Customs Code as well. We are now in the same coordinate system, as they (Russia and Kazakhstan) are.
The Customs Code of the Customs Union officially came into force on 1 July on the territories of Russia and Kazakhstan that had officially ratified the document.
