Companies in the fray are DP World, IL&FS Maritime Infrastructure Company, Lanco Infratech, Mundra Port and SEZ, Navayuga Engineering Company, Vadinar Oil Terminal, L&T Transport Private Development Project, FGI International and a consortium led by infrastructure major GVK.
The project is expected to be commissioned by 2013 and would be fully operational by 2017.
