The Novorossiysk Port’s Board names its chairman and independent directors

The Board of Directors of Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP OJSC) at a meeting on July 1st elected Alexander Ponomarenko the Chairman of the Board of Directors, the NCSP’s press service said.
Besides, Eugene Gorlakov, Alexander Ponomarenko, George Koryashkin and Alexander Shokhin were named as independent directors of the company, in accordance with the requirements of the Code of Corporate Governance of NCSP.

The NCSP’s stockholders have reportedly elected at the annual general meeting the new Board of Directors. The Board includes: Eugene Gorlakov, George Koryashkin, Victor Olersky, Tamara Pakhomenko, Alexander Ponomarenko, Vladimir Ulyanov and Alexander Shokhin.

Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port Group is the largest Russian port operator. In 2009 the Group’s throughput amounted to 86.5 million tons. Consolidated revenues of the Group for 2009 under IFRS made up $675.1 million, net income - $252.2 million.

NCSP Group incorporates the following stevedores: Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port OJSC, Novorossiysk Grain Terminal OJSC, Novorossiysk Shipyard OJSC, NCSP Fleet OJSC, NovorosLesExport OJSC, IPP OJSC and Baltic Stevedoring Company.
