The country's imports from Brazil grew 17.9% year on year to US$13.47 billion during the period from January to June.
In 2009, China's exports to Brazil were US$15.91 billion, while its imports from the South American country stood at US$20.19 billion.
China is now Brazil's largest export destination and second-largest import source.
In the first five months of this year, China exported US$567.74 billion worth of goods, up 33.2% year on year, while the import value increased 57.5% to US$532.35 billion. Trade surplus decreased 59.9% to US$35.39 billion in the period, according to an earlier report from China Knowledge.
