Vysotsk oil terminal has been known as a transshipment complex for handling "river-sea" tankers since May 2006. In four straight years petroleum products have been delivered to Vysotsk from NizhegorodNefteOrgSintez refinery (included in the LUKOIL) by Volga-Fleet Tanker LLC (former Volga Baltiysk Company, since 2009 - Independent Transport Company Holding). There are nine tankers operating currently the line. The first tanker this year at Vysotsk terminal docked on May 5.
In 2009, exports of oil products (heavy fuel oil, diesel, vacuum gas oil) of LUKOIL through marine terminal Vysotsk totaled 14.4 million tons. Russia's largest private oil company LUKOIL holds a 100-percent stake in the marine terminal.
