Shtokman Development AG, Murmansk Region authorities to establish task groups

Shtokman Development AG and the Administration of Murmansk region signed an agreement to establish working groups. The groups will be tasked for cooperation with local mass media, promotion of investments in the regional economy projects, for training and extension courses for specialists needed for the developing project and other issues, the regional govt. press service said.

Regional Gov Dmitry Dmitriyenko said the establishment of such task groups for cooperation between the government of the Murmansk region and Shtokman Development AG proves that the Shtokman field development becomes a reality.

A similar document has already been signed with Gazprom Offshore Production. Agreements are expected to be signed with foreign partners of Shtokman gas development.

Shtokman Development AG (Shtokman Development AG) was established for implementation of the Shtokman project by Russia's Gazprom, France's Total and Norway's StatoilHydro. GazProm holds a 51% stake in the Swiss Zug-based joint venture, French Total - 25%, and StatoilHydro – 24%. Alexei Zagorovsky was appointed CEO of the Shtokman Development AG
