Freight traffic volume via Commercial Port of Vladivostok (CPV JSC) in Jan-June 2010 rose by 28% from the same period last year, to 3.382m tons, the CPV press service said.
Exports volume amounted to 1,989.500 tons, imports - 647.400 tons, short sea trade – 745,000 tons.
Half-year volume of containerized cargo reached 148,278 TEUs. Outbound containers rose to 54,430 TEUs, inbound – 43,998 TEUs, short sea trade volume – 50,237 TEUs.
Total CPV’s throughput in Q2, 2010 was reported at 1,608.200 tons of cargo. The number includes 817,000 tons of exports, 390,000 tons of imports, and 400,000 tons of short sea trade. The company handled in the reporting period 80,200 TEUs of containerized cargo. Exported containers amounted to 28,224 TEUs, imported - to 25,591 TEUs, short sea – 26,205 TEUs.
In June 2010 the port processed 546.800 tons of cargo: 252.600 tons of exports, 156,500 tons of imports, and 137.700 tons of coastal trade. Last month CPV transshipped 27,962 TEUs of containerized cargoes, of short sea trade – 8,463 TEUs, of imports – 9,744 TEUs, and 9,755 TEUs of exports.
