Shenzhen’s ports handled more than 10.45m teu in the first half of this year, an increase of 29.42 percent from a year earlier, according to statistics by local authorities. Cargo throughput of the city in south China's Guangdong Province totaled more than 107 million tons in the first six months, up 22.03%. Shenzhen was one of the worst performers among the major Chinese boxports last year.
