Shenzhen Chiwan Wharf Holdings' cargo throughput for June soared 26.3 percent year-on-year to 5.45 million tonnes, China Knowledge Press reported.
Last month, the company's container throughput was 548,000 TEUs, up 55.9 percent year-on-year, with the throughput of bulk cargos reaching 719,000 tonnes, 4.1 percent down on the same month of 2009.
Vice president and general manager Zheng Shaoping said that the firm will seek good opportunities for the construction of more growth-oriented ports to expand its business nationwide.
