This was 1,7% higher than the May iron-ore exports of just over 15-million tons.
Copper concentrate exports were also up to 38 466 t during June, compared with the 20 000 t exported in May, while manganese exports declined to 100 850 t during June, compared with the 131 248 t reported in May.
China was still leading the race as the destination of choice with more than 10,5-million tons of iron-ore exported there during June, and more 10 555 t of copper concentrate. Around 52 350 t of manganese ore was also exported to China during the same period.
The second largest export destination for iron-ore was Japan, with the Republic of Korea coming third.
