Arkhangelsk port’s cargo turnover up 30% in H1, to 793.100 tons

Six-month freight traffic volume via Arkhangelsk Commercial Sea Port JSC amounted to 793.100 tons, a 30-percent spike as compared with H1, 2009, the stevedoring company report said.
In January - June ACSP handled 32.500 tons (of cargoes not carried by sea), up 21.6% from the same period last year. Exported freight rose to 271.300 tons (+2.3 times), imports – to 306.200 tons (+20.4%), while short sea trade volume dropped to 183.200 tons (-14.4%).

Arkhangelsk Commercial Sea Port is a diversified stevedore company, specializing in transshipment of general cargoes, cellulose, cardboard, containers, lumber, metals, fertilizer, heavy equipment, bulked cargo. Last year’s cargo turnover of the company was reported at 1,345.900 tons, a 23.7-percent decline year-over-year.
