The Board of Directors of Modern Commercial Fleet JSC (Sovcomflot) at a meeting on July 13, 2010 in Moscow elected the Board Chairman and formed three committees, the company press release said.
Sergey Naryshkin, the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office was appointed the Chairman of the Covcomflot’s Board of Directors. Sergey Naryshkin, welcoming Sergey Kudryashov, Marlene Manas, David Moorhouse and Victor Olersky, the new members of the Board of Directors, expressed his confidence that the experience they have acquired in their respective business sectors, will significantly contribute to the effective resolution of the complex tasks set by the Company’s Development Strategy for 2010 – 2015, approved by the Company’s Board of Directors”
The Board of Directors formed Strategy Committee, Audit Committee and HR and Compensation Committee, headed by Elena Titova, Charles Ryan and Marlene Manasov, respectively.
An earlier report said that Sovcomflot’s stockholders at the annual general meeting on June 29 had elected 9 members to the Board of Directors.

The company’s fleet currently comprises of 143 ships of total 10.37m DWT. RAS net income of Sovcomflot for 2009 shrank by 5% y-o-y, to 1.1 billion rubles.
