The feeder service, which is part of the liner’s Scan Baltic Express (SBX) service, will have two calls a week.
“We welcome OOCL to Gdynia. We are glad that OOCL has chosen BCT because it confirms that BCT is in a better position to facilitate Polish trade,” BCT president Krzysztof Szymborski said.
“Our strength in the areas of productivity, safety, technology and reliable customer service is our competitive advantage. OOCL will also benefit from our reasonable fees. Our total package, from the level of service to the value of what our clients pay for, is what the Polish market needs during these demanding times in the container transport sector,” he added.
Szymborski sees the entry of OOCL in BCT as an oppotunity to forge a long term partnership.
On the other hand, Leszek Walkusz, OOCL Polska country manager, said that OOCL’s collaboration with BCT “will prove beneficial for all parties participating in the transport process.”
“OOCL decided to start working with BCT because of its technological potential and the high professional skills of the terminal staff. This would further facilitate the development of OOCL in the Polish market,” he pointed out.
OOCL’s collaboration with BCT is seen to provide OOCL customers with best solutions with respect to technology, integrated container and logistics transport services.
OOCL is a recognized international provider of integrated container, logistics and terminal transport services. OOCL started its SBX service in Poland in 2001.
BCT is one of the largest maritime terminals in the southern part of the Baltic Sea.
Owing to its strategic location and being the largest reloading capacity in Poland, the terminal is considered as Poland’s "window to the world.”
For many years, it has been an undisputed leader in its sector, with its offer of quick and professional reloading of container goods.
BCT is a subsidiary of ICTSI, a leading port management company involved in the operations and development of 19 marine terminals and port projects in 13 countries worldwide.
