Russian transport sector as a whole and ports in particular remain the most attractive object for investment in the medium term, given immunity to shocks, as demonstrated in 2009, and the potential for growth turnover in the future. Such an opinion was presented by Alexei Astapov, an analyst of Gazprombank, - FINAM states. According to his opinion, the market of Russia could still be characterized by a significant lack of port capacity, which leads to high charges for handling and allows sea operators to generate super-profits (EBITDA margin in the NCSP-following the 1st quarter of 2010 made less than 70%).
