Saaremaa Laevakompanii (Saaremaa Shipping Co), which operates ferry transport between Estonian mainland and bigger islands, reported for 2009 EEK34 million net income, versus 30 million kroons a year earlier, the Baltic Course reports citing LETA/Postimees.
The company’s turnover fell 2.2%, to 340 million kroons.
The majority of the turnover, 184 million kroons, was targeted financing allocated by the state, which grew by EEK30 million year-over-year.
