Port Fleet’s tugs to tow Russian warships on the Neva river

Tugboats of Port Fleet CJSC will escort warships that will arrive to St. Petersburg, PortNews IAA reports citing Port Fleet Company.

The missile ship Zyb, the corvette Steregushchy and the submarine B-585 will participate in the festival dedicated to the Day of the Russian Navy. They will be docked at the English and the Lieutenant Schmidt Embankments.

Port Fleet’s six tugboats will have to escort the three warships quickly so as not to block navigation on the Neva. Therefore, Blagoveschensky bridge will be drawn on the night of July 21, 15 minutes ahead of timetable.

There will be 10 marine warships participating in the Navy Day celebration.

Port Fleet’s tugs escorted in November 2009 in the Neva the French warship Mistral.

Port Fleet CJSC was founded in 1997. The company operates its fleet of 39 vessels of various purposes. It provides complex servicing of vessels as at the port of St. Petersburg and elsewhere. Port Fleet was contracted by Rosmorport to provide services to vessels that pay environmental charges and located in the waters of the Big Port of St. Petersburg.
