Six tugboats of Port Fleet CJSC successfully escorted three Russian warships that arrived in St. Petersburg to participate in the festival dedicated to the Day of the Russian Navy. The operation went quick and smooth last night, PortNews IAA reports. The Zyb missile ship, the corvette Steregushchy and the submarine "B-585" moored at English Embankment.
The operation took no more than an hour. Each warship was attached by cables to light maneuverable tugs (the Buran, the Peterhof, the Pavlovsk , the Mercury and the Sestroreck).
Many locals and tourists came to the scene to watch the maneuvers. Two bridges were opened twice that night. The warships are scheduled to leave the city on July 27.
