Kazakhstan eyes grain terminal project in Yuzhny Port

Kazakhstan is considering building a grain transshipment complex at the Ukrainian port of Yuzhny (Odessa region). NC Kazakhstan Tamir Joly company said they would be willing to participate in the new project, RZD-Partner.Ru reports.

According to UkrZaliznytsia (Ukraine’s Railroad) tariff discounts on grain transportation have been effective to improve logistics of transit grain from Kazakhstan.

Currently, major grain export volume from Kazakhstan is passing via the port of Nykolayev (via terminal UkrKazEksportAstyk, launched in spring, 2010).
