Rosterminalugol Jan-Jul coal exports volume reaches 4m tons

Year-to-date volume of export coal by Rosterminalugol company, a stevedore operating at the port of Ust-Luga (Leningrad region), has reached 4 million tons, the company press service said. As of July 27th, the 4th million ton of coal was loaded onto the Miho Pracat ship.

Rosterminalugol OJSC, part of Kuzbassrazrezugol Holding, was established in 1996 for building and further exploitation of a coal terminal of projected capacity of 8m tons of coal a year in the commercial port of Ust-Luga. Rosterminalugol provides services including loading/offloading operations, freight forwarding services, construction, maintenance of facilities of the specialized complex for transshipment of coal in the seaport in the Luga Bay of the Gulf of Finland. The company offers its clients insurance services for goods and property, covering the risks of transactions carried out at the port. The coal terminal has 2 540-m-long and 14-m-deep berths. That allows accommodation of vessels with a length up to 240 meters and a breadth up to 32.2 meters. In 2009 the terminal has seen 7,083.538 tons of coal. The company handled 99,242 rail cars and 200 ships, Rosterminalugol press service said.
