Russia and France are holding talks today, November 1st, in Saint Petersburg on the territory of Admiralty Shipyard on the issue of military-technical cooperation between the two countries, including the construction of the French Mistral class helicopter carries, PortNews correspondent reports from the Admiralty Shipyard.
Russian delegation including among others the United Shipbuilding Corporation’s CEO Rosman Trotsenko and St. Petersburg Gov. Valentina Matvienko is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin. On the French side the French ambassador to Russia and STX Europe company are participating in the negotiations.
The parties are expected to consider the Russian shipbuilding companies that would be able to participate in bidding for the Mistral shipbuilding contract. The tender for the warship contract was announced by Russian Defense Ministry.
