In October this year, the Yug-2 Terminal handled 11,782 autos, a 9-percent gain month-over-month.
The port is expected to transship not less than 60,000 cars by the end of the year.
The Yug-2 (South-2) multipurpose transshipment complex was designed for handling Ro-Ro cargoes, including new imported cars, containers and general cargo. The Terminal’s first phase was commissioned in June 2008. The Yug-2 projected capacity is over 4.6 million tons of export-import cargoes annually.
Currently, the Yug-2 Terminal is handling autos of Hyundai, Kia and Subaru car makers, Toyota automobiles are transported by Malmo-Hanko-Ust-Luga ferry line. Besides, Ust-Luga Comp. eyes handing export cargoes.
